You’ll see that even during the daylight with the overhead lights on, the tool will work great; however, the beams work even better in low level lighting environments.  The beams will not work as well when competing against bright, direct sunlight.  If the sun is shining on the countertop, either close the blinds or wait until the sun light moves away from the countertop.
